This report aims to share my experience as a teacher who has worked with the theme of academic writing in higher education. I have promoted reflection on the moment when we discover ourselves in the role of authors, to collectively reflect on the emotional and material conditions in which we write, focusing on the writing process, since we tend to prioritize “final-writing”. Articulated to this reflection, I proposed the elaboration of exercises of “free writing”, that is, the elaboration of a production without editing and with the minimum of pauses in the sense of giving vent to creativity and the control of self-criticism.
